A Day on the Boardwalk

Since the weather was favorable yesterday, we decided to pick up and head out to the beach. As luck would have it, it turned out to be a perfect day in Santa Cruz. We figured it wouldn't be so bad, especially with it being Monday, but there was a fair share of people there, although not quite as packed as the weekend. This was Isaiah's first time at the beach, though we didn't take the kids out to the water this time out. Besides, he enjoyed himself for the most part while snoozing in the stroller.




Makenna, on the other hand, was in awe of everything, especially with all the screaming kids! This was her first time on the boardwalk where she's been able to run off on her own (in close proximity of course). She also had the opportunity to ride a couple of rides, and she had a blast on those! She rode the flying dragons with mommy, and the merry-go-round with me, and while she enjoyed both, she was a bit scared of the horse she was strapped to. Once the carousel started, and the horse started going up and down, she forgot her fear and just enjoyed the ride! Hopefully the next time we get out there, we can get down to the beach and get the kids out near the water...
